3D-Fuel PET-CF is a blend of tough PET and carbon fibers. Carbon fiber improves hardness and mechanical strength while helping maintain low warping and shrinkage compared to regular PET.
Due to its dimensional stability and lower water absorption rate, PET-CF is a better choice than nylon for printing functional parts used in high-humidity environments. Also, its high-temperature resistance and low warping make it suitable for printing mechanical assembly parts, such as automotive accessories and fixtures.
Our PET-CF has excellent high-temperature resistance and a soft, matte appearance. Its excellent strength, heat resistance, dimensional stability, and low moisture absorption make 3D-Fuel PET-CF an ideal choice for load-bearing structures or prints used in high-temperature and humid environments.
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a semicrystalline polyester commonly used in soda bottles and automotive parts when reinforced with a fiber filler. This material has an outstanding price-to-performance ratio. When annealed, it exhibits a temperature resistance of over 155 °C and good chemical resistance to common solvents.
Why PET-CF?
PET-CF delivers outstanding dimensional stability and absorbs far less moisture than nylon, making it a smarter pick for printing functional parts in high-humidity environments. Its excellent heat resistance and minimal warping also make it ideal for mechanical assemblies—everything from automotive components to custom fixtures that need to stay strong and precise.
