Print Settings

At 3D-Fuel, we're working to develop Pro PCTG profiles for as many popular 3D printers as possible, but unfortunately, we're unable to cover every single 3D printer brand, model, and upgrade permutation.

We have our developed profiles available here for download, but if you have a 3D printer we don't have a profile for yet, you can easily create one using the steps below:

  • Start with a PETG profile
  • Increase hotend temp to 250-280C
  • Set textured PEI bed temp to 80C
  • Decrease cooling fan speeds as low as possible
  • No enclosure needed but, if you have one, close the lid and doors
  • If your enclosure is heated, 45C is a good temperature.
  • Tune your pressure advance settings
  • Enable a wipe move after retraction

Drying

Dry filament is happy filament!

  • Drying Temp: 65C
  • Drying Time: 6-8 hours

Please store Pro PCTG in an airtight container with desiccant, when possible. Even though Pro PCTG absorbs moisture more slowly than PETG, it will still absorb moisture over time.

Wet filament can cause a poor surface finish with your printed part and may even contribute to clogging nozzles.

Ready-To-Go Print Profiles

Bambu AMS Spool Size Compatibility

All 3D-Fuel 1kg filament spools are AMS-compatible, unless otherwise specifically noted. Learn more about 3D-Fuel spool dimensions.

Additional 3D-Fuel Information

Filament Quality:
All 3D-Fuel 3D printer filament is manufactured in United States production facilities.  We have exceptional control over the manufacturing process and can ensure consistent quality for every spool.

Diameter Tolerance:
Our filament diameter tolerance is +/- 0.02 mm.

High filament diameter variability can cause significant problems in your 3D printer. We use a multi-axis laser measurement system to control our filament diameter and ovality in real time during production.

Packing Information:
A full 1kg (2.2lbs) of Pro PCTG 3D printing filament arrives on an easy-to-use, plastic AMS-compatible spool and is vacuum sealed with a desiccant packet to keep out any moisture.

Test Printing:
The 3D-Fuel test lab features multiple brands of 3D printers, including Bambu Lab, Creality3D, Anycubic, Elegoo, Prusa, QIDI, FlashForge, and more. We 3D print what we manufacture to ensure that our filament provides the best quality possible.

Why Choose 3D-Fuel Pro PCTG?

If you're looking for a filament as easy to print as PETG but with superior strength, durability, and clarity, Pro PCTG is the perfect choice. Whether you're printing functional parts, engineering-grade prototypes, or multi-color projects, this filament ensures consistent and reliable performance every time.

3D-Fuel Pro PCTG – The PETG Upgrade

3D-Fuel Pro PCTG – The PETG Upgrade

Pro PCTG takes everything you love about PETG and makes it better—up to 20x tougher, more chemically resistant, and clearer. It offers exceptional impact strength, making it perfect for functional parts, prototypes, and demanding applications. With low moisture absorption, it prints reliably without warping or brittleness.

Superior Strength & Durability

Superior Strength & Durability

Built for toughness, Pro PCTG delivers high impact resistance and greater flexibility compared to standard PETG. Whether for industrial use or everyday projects, your prints will be stronger and longer-lasting.

The Pro PCTG Difference

Chemical Resistance

Chemical Type Examples PCTG Advantage PETG Limitation Comparison (CRR)
Alcohols Isopropyl alcohol (IPA), ethanol, methanol Resists prolonged exposure without degrading or cracking. Degrades or stress cracks with high alcohol concentrations over time. 1.8
Hydrocarbons Hexane, heptane, gasoline, mineral spirits Better resistance to hydrocarbon-based solvents. Softens or weakens when exposed to hydrocarbons. 2.0
Acids Acetic acid, citric acid, phosphoric acid Maintains structural integrity in mild to moderately concentrated acids. Degrades faster in acidic environments at higher concentrations. 1.4
Bases (Alkalis) Sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide Better resistance to strong alkalis. May crack or degrade when exposed to strong bases. 1.33
Cleaning Agents Bleach (sodium hypochlorite), industrial degreasers, detergent solutions Withstands harsh cleaning agents without discoloration or damage. Discolors, cracks, or loses properties with harsh cleaning agents over time. 1.5
Oils and Lubricants Engine oils, hydraulic fluids, cutting oils Resists degradation from prolonged exposure to oils. Absorbs oils over time, potentially leading to swelling or weakening. 1.6
Ketone Acetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) Performs slightly better in low-concentration ketones. Softens or dissolves more readily in ketone-rich environments. 1.2

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Send us your question by filling out the form below, we will be happy to assist you.

What makes Pro PCTG better than PETG?

Pro PCTG is up to 30x tougher than PETG, offering superior impact resistance, higher clarity, and better chemical resistance while maintaining the same ease of printing.

Does Pro PCTG require an enclosed printer?

No! Pro PCTG prints just like PETG and does not require an enclosure, making it easy to use on open-frame printers.

That said, you can maximize your part toughness and reduce warping from drafts by using an enclosure.

Is Pro PCTG moisture-sensitive?

It has a lower moisture absorption rate than PETG, but for best results, store it in a dry, sealed container when not in use.

Can Pro PCTG be used for outdoor applications?

Yes! With high impact resistance and strong chemical durability, Pro PCTG is great for functional parts, outdoor components, and industrial use.

Is Pro PCTG food-safe?

The resin that we use for manufacturing Pro PCTG is FDA approved for food contact and PCTG is a material commonly used in water bottles.

While PCTG is generally considered safer than many other 3D printing materials, food safety depends on additives and printing conditions. We recommend checking specific regulations before using it for food-related applications.
