Pro PCTG 3D Filament - Made In USA

3D-Fuel Pro PCTG is a high-performance PCTG 3D printing filament designed as a superior alternative to PETG. It delivers exceptional toughness (up to 8 - 12× higher impact resistance than standard PETG), along with enhanced chemical resistance, UV stability, and optical clarity.

Unlike many engineering-grade filaments, Pro PCTG remains easy to print, with low moisture absorption and excellent layer adhesion. It prints reliably on open-frame printers and is fully compatible with multi-material systems like the Bambu Lab AMS.

All 3D-Fuel filaments are proudly manufactured in the USA using a domestic supply chain, ensuring consistent quality and performance.

Quick answers

PCTG filament, in plain words.

These answers come from our support tickets and the Pro PCTG Help Center articles.

What is PCTG filament?

PCTG is a glycol-modified copolyester from the same family as PETG, built to take more abuse. Pro PCTG has 8-12x the impact toughness of PETG, better chemical and UV resistance, and prints at PETG-like settings. We make it in Fargo, North Dakota. Read the full PCTG guide.

PCTG vs PETG: what's the difference?

Pro PCTG has 8-12x the impact toughness of PETG and bends and tears instead of shattering. It handles about 5-15 °C more heat depending on the PETG, resists a much broader range of chemicals, and has about 2x the UV resistance of our Pro PETG. PETG is still a good, lower-cost choice for everyday parts. PCTG vs PETG compared.

What temperature should I print Pro PCTG at?

Print Pro PCTG at 250-280 °C with the bed at 80 °C on clean textured PEI, no glue. Keep outer walls and top surfaces at 100 mm/s or less, use as little part cooling as possible, and calibrate pressure advance. Below 250 °C it usually doesn't melt fully at normal speeds.

Do you have Pro PCTG profiles for my printer?

Yes. We publish tested Pro PCTG profiles for 30+ printers, including Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, Elegoo, Qidi, Anycubic, FlashForge and Snapmaker. Pro PCTG is also built into PrusaSlicer. Download the Pro PCTG profiles.

How do I dry PCTG filament?

Dry Pro PCTG at 70 °C for 6-8 hours, or 65 °C for 8-12 hours. If your dryer has no PCTG setting, use its PETG preset. Store spools in an airtight container with desiccant.

Does Pro PCTG work in the Bambu Lab AMS?

Yes. Our spools fit the AMS, AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT. Our Bambu profiles are named "PCTG Pro" so the AMS recognizes the material.

Is PCTG food safe?

The Pro PCTG resin is approved for food contact, but a printed part isn't automatically food safe because bacteria can collect in layer lines. Use a food-safe coating on parts meant for food.

Can Pro PCTG be used outdoors and in heat?

Yes. Pro PCTG has about 2x the UV resistance of our Pro PETG and a heat deflection temperature of 76 °C at 0.455 MPa (ISO 75) straight off the printer. For more heat and stiffness, choose Pro PCTG-CF10 or GF10. Pro PCTG can't be annealed.

Do I need an enclosure or a hardened nozzle?

No enclosure is needed; if you have one, keep it closed, with the chamber at about 45 °C or lower. Standard colors, including transparent and translucent, print fine on a brass nozzle. Matte Black, CF10 and GF10 are abrasive and need a hardened nozzle.
