New Lower Prices on All Our Filament, Plus Up to 30% Off in Bulk

Welcome back to the 3D-Fueled Show! This is episode 19, and it's a short one with one big piece of news: starting today, Standard PLA+, Tough Pro PLA+, Pro PETG and Pro PCTG all cost less than they did before, in every spool size.

This isn't a sale or a Black Friday promotion. These are our new everyday prices.

Why Our Prices Came Down

If you've followed the show, you've heard me talk about growing production here in Fargo, North Dakota. Over the past year we added high-speed extrusion lines and automated winders, and we've worked hard to keep our raw material and other input costs in check.

More capacity and more automation mean each spool costs us less to make. We always said we'd pass that on to you once we could, and now we can, across all four of our main filament lines.

The New Prices

Here's what a 1 kg spool costs now, before any quantity discount:

Material (1 kg spool) Was Now
Standard PLA+ $25.95 $22.95
Pro PETG $28.95 $24.95
Tough Pro PLA+ $32.95 $28.95
Pro PCTG $29.95 $28.95

A few notes on each:

  • Pro PETG takes the biggest drop, $4 a spool. I know a lot of you aren't ready to jump to Pro PCTG yet, and you're comfortable with PETG. We're also adding a few more Pro PETG colors soon to round out the lineup.
  • Tough Pro PLA+ is our impact-resistant PLA with excellent layer-to-layer strength. Customers say it prints like butter, and it's now $4 less per spool.
  • Standard PLA+ is our everyday PLA, and we have a few new colors coming very soon.
  • Pro PCTG came down a little, and it now costs about what our PETG used to.

Our 4 kg and 25 lb spools are coming down too. I'll cover those in their own episode soon.

Quantity Discounts Stack on Top

This is the part I'm most excited about. The lower prices above are just the starting point. Our quantity discounts still apply on top of them, and they go all the way up to 30% off:

1 kg spools in your order Discount Standard PLA+ per spool
5+ 5% $21.80
20+ 10% $20.66
50+ 15% $19.51
100+ 20% $18.36
500+ 25% $17.21
1,000+ 30% $16.06

At 100 spools, that works out to $19.96 a kilo for Pro PETG and $23.16 a kilo for Tough Pro PLA+ and Pro PCTG.

How it works:

  • It's automatic. The discount shows up in your cart. No code, and no wholesale account to set up.
  • Mix and match. Any combination of colors and materials counts toward your tier.
  • Filament spools only. Sample coils, merch and gift cards don't count toward a tier.
  • Big orders, give us a heads-up. If you're ordering 100 or more spools, especially of one material and color, email sales@3dfuel.com first. We may need to schedule an extra production run to fill it, and we'll confirm stock or lead time. The discount still applies automatically.

And if you're in the lower 48 states, ground shipping is free on orders over $99.

See every tier and pick your colors on our bulk filament discounts page.

Same Filament, Same Formulas

I want to be really clear about this. We didn't get here by cutting corners. Same material formulations. We haven't switched colorant suppliers, and we're not loading the material with mineral filler to bring down the raw material cost.

If you've printed with our filament before, it will print exactly the same now. Your dollar just goes a lot further, and I know that matters right now as much as anything.

Thank You

A lot of you have been buying from us for years. We kept telling you we wanted to expand production so we could bring prices down, and that's what we've done. I really appreciate your support. If you've been saving up loyalty points, this is a great time to use them.

There's more coming before the end of the year, including new colors and new packaging formats. Stay tuned.

Questions? Leave a comment on the video or reach out to us. On behalf of myself and the whole 3D-Fuel team, thank you, and happy printing.
