Separate Profiles For Matte Black and PCTG-CF10 Now Available

Recently, a customer of our Matte Black Pro PCTG requested that we create a separate profile for the Matte Black Pro PCTG to enable easier management of that material in the Bambu Lab AMS system.

This now helps to differentiate between Matte Black and Midnight Black in the AMS system, for example.

But there is an added benefit of the separate profile - much easier management for pressure advance settings.

Matte Black Pro PCTG contains 4% carbon fiber, which changes the ideal pressure advance value from that of non-filled Pro PCTG.

Since Bambu may apply the pressure advance value for one color of a material to ALL colors of that material, that means that the print quality of your print would not be as good as it could be if it were using both Matte Black and an unfilled color of Pro PCTG within the same print.

This also applies to our 10% carbon fiber-filled PCTG: Pro PCTG-CF10.

If you use all 3 materials (Pro PCTG, Matte Black Pro PCTG, and Pro PCTG-CF10) in the same print, you will now have 3 filament profiles to choose from.

Once you have imported the profiles into your Bambu Studio, you should see them available on your Bambu Lab printers as a material option after you tap the "refresh" button on the touch screen.

Happy Printing!
