Is 3D Clean for cold pulls?

3D Clean is a purge material, not a cold pull material. It is engineered to be extruded through your 3D printer's hot-end nozzle. It uses different melting point and viscosity polymers to gently "scrub" the interior of your nozzle, purging old polymer, small carbon or glass fiber strands, and carbonized material out of your 3D printer.

How do I use 3D Clean?

Whether you are switching from one color to another, from one material to another, or performing routine maintenance on your 3D printer, 3D Clean is easy to use.

  1. Set your 3D printer's nozzle temperature to the same temperature as your previously printed material. For example, if you just printed in ABS, set it to the ABS printing temperature.
  2. Access the top of your 3D printer's extruder to manually insert the 3D Clean stick or coil
  3. Manually feed (using the controls on your 3D printer screen) the 3D Clean through your hotend
  4. Continue feeding until the 3D Clean no longer shows signs of the previous color, material, or debris/degraded polymer
  5. Manually reverse the extruder to remove the 3D Clean

3D Clean™ Cleaning/Purging, 1.75mm

Clean your 3D printer's hot-end and nozzle with 3D Clean™ by 3D-Fuel.

3D Clean is a non-chemical, non-abrasive thermoplastic purging/cleaning compound that is safe for both the operator and the 3D printer.

Available in 8-inch segments or in 25g coils (1.75mm and/or 2.85mm diameter), 3D Clean™ is specially designed by 3D-Fuel with 3D printers in mind and comes ready to use.

Print Settings
Use 3D-Fuel 3D Clean™ at 230°C unless the material being purged out requires a higher temperature.

"3D-Fuels cleaning products really get the job done."

James (4/5)

Works Great

"I love the cleaning filament and it does a great job especially after running wood filament. I bought the roll version because I have a BambuLab P2S. I WISH it was available as a bigger roll. My AMS Pro sits on top and using the 8” long smaller strings isn’t possible without a lot of fiddling. Like I’d buy a mini roll of 1/2 kg. Hang it on the external feed bar. Would be more convenient."

Greg H. (5/5)

3D clean

"Have not used yet. Next time I do maintenance, lube job, will do it then."

Wayne H. (5/5)

Very nice to clean out

"Very nice to clean out the nozzle before switching filament types."

Kevin D. (5/5)

A little short

"I should have went with the spool version. These are a little too short for the bambu cold pull."

David M. (5/5)

I will ALWAYS use this from now on.

"I ran this through all 3 of my P1S's and a whole bunch of gross stuff was extruded. I will ALWAYS use this from now on."

Alan D. (5/5)

Wonderful preventative maintenance

"These cleaning rods works wonderful. I use them in between filament changes and have not had an issue with a clogged nozzle."

Richard S. (5/5)

Works

"Works as intended"

Brandon K. (5/5)

"Does a nice job cleaning the print nozzle"

William (5/5)

This stuff works great!

"I use this before every filament type or color change. It does a great job purging the nozzle and removing anything clinging inside. A healthy nozzle makes for a happy user."
