Nearly all of our Pro PCTG filament profiles for Bambu Studio have been updated, plus we've added a profile for the H2S and 0.6mm and 0.8mm profiles for the H2D.
The notable changes to the Bambu Lab filament profiles include:
- Updated naming structure to enable integration with Helio Additive, a directly-integrated optimization tool that enables stronger parts, less warping, and faster prints powered by fast physics-based FEM simulation
- Updated cooling settings to improve overhang and bridging performance
- Updated cooling settings to improve surface finish consistency
- Updated Volumetric Max to improve consistency within prints when using Bambu Studio default Process profiles
- Updated print bed temps from 70C to 80C to improve bed adhesion consistency
- Updated z-hop from 0.4mm to 0.6mm to help reduce filament buildup on the nozzle
We've also added a Pro PCTG Process profile to improve print aesthetics, part strength, and to dramatically reduce nozzle buildup. We've started with a 0.2mm layer height on a 0.4mm nozzle. Differences from the default 0.2mm Standard Bambu Studio Process profile include:
- Acceleration - Default: 10,000 -> 2,000
- Acceleration - Outer Wall: 5,000 -> 2,000
- Acceleration - Top Surface: 2,000 -> 1,000
- Acceleration - Travel: 10,000 -> 5,000
- Speed - Outer Wall: 200 -> 100
- Speed - Top Surface: 200 -> 100
- Speed - Gap Infill: 250 -> 150
- Speed - Bridge: 50 -> 40
- Sparse Infill Pattern: Grid -> Cubic

I just got a Bambu P1S with .4mm nozzle and ordered your Pro PCTG. After downloading your filament profile (the json file – 3D-Fuel Pro PCTG @ P1S 0.4mm), I only see the filament profile and not the process profile that you reference above? Where do I download it?
I’m also interested in a .2mm nozzle filament and process profile. Should I apply the above process changes when working with it? Or is there a process file for .2mm?
I’m new so I apologize for my incompetence. There is a lot of settings to try to understand.
Thank you!
Settings are doing well. What would you recommend for volumetric speed/temp for the .4 HF nozzle? on a .2 layer height?
Thank you, this updated profile does seem to work better. Am new to the 3d printing world and I was having some issued with the spool of PCTG I got, now they appear mostly eliminated with the Benchy I just printed.
Perhaps this shows up for Helio users but upon importing the profiles into Bambu Studio for my A1 3D printers, I do not see any change in the bed temperature. I am seeing 70C listed for all the build plates.
Also – just an FYI – it wouldn’t be a bad idea to tell customers how to import configs into Bambu Studio.
